SSP Sopore Holds Interaction Session with Probationary Sub-Inspectors; Emphasises Discipline and Integrity

Sopore, April 03, 2026: SSP Sopore Shri Iftkhar Talib–JKPS today held an interactive session with newly posted Probationary Sub-Inspectors (PSIs) at Police District Sopore, marking the beginning of their next phase of field training.

At the outset, the SSP welcomed the trainees and highlighted that real policing is learned on the ground. He briefed them about the challenging nature of the district and the importance of handling law & order situations, investigations, terrorism-related challenges and public grievances with professionalism and responsibility.

During the interaction, SSP Sopore emphasised the core values of policing, including discipline, integrity and a people-friendly approach. He advised the trainees to maintain proper conduct, follow the chain of command and uphold the dignity of the uniform at all times.

Stressing the importance of professional competence, he directed the officers to focus on quality investigation, proper evidence handling and thorough case documentation.

The SSP encouraged the trainees to adopt a continuous learning attitude, seek guidance from seniors and develop sound judgement while dealing with ground challenges.

The session concluded with an interactive discussion, providing the trainees with a clear understanding of expectations, responsibilities and the challenges of policing in the district.

Senior officers including Addl. SP Sopore, SDPOs, DySP DAR, DySP Ops, and SHOs of Police District Sopore were also present on the occasion.
