TB Screening Camp Held at HK Cement Factory Khrew Under 100 Days TB Mukht Bharat Abhiyan 2.0

Pampore, April 28: A tuberculosis (TB) screening camp was organised by Sub District Hospital Pampore at HK Cement Factory Khrew area of Pampore as part of the ongoing 100 Days TB Mukht Bharat Abhiyan Shivir 2.0, an intensified campaign aimed at early detection and elimination of tuberculosis through active case finding, officials told Morning Kashmir.

During the camp, workers at the factory were screened on the spot using a handheld X-ray device. In addition to TB screening, general health check-ups were also conducted to assess the overall well-being of the workers.Health officials collected sputum samples from individuals identified as presumptive TB cases for further diagnostic confirmation.

The initiative aims to ensure early diagnosis and prompt treatment, thereby reducing the risk of transmission.

Shivir 2.0 places special emphasis on screening high-risk populations, including industrial workers, through workplace-based interventions. The campaign seeks to strengthen TB control efforts by improving access to diagnostic services and facilitating timely initiation of treatment.

The camp witnessed active participation from workers and was appreciated for bringing essential healthcare services directly to the workplace.
