Srinagar 1 April 2026: Security forces have achieved a major success by eliminating a terrorist who was planning to trigger an IED blast along the National highways in Ganderbal district.
The terrorist killed in the overnight encounter in Arhama gunfight is believed to be an IED expert. Security agencies had received multiple and concrete inputs over the past few days of a possible IED threat along the strategic highway.
Pertinently, the encounter started on Tuesday evening after Army’s 2 Assam Rifle,Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF launched a joint operation in Arhama area of Ganderbal.
While one terrorist has been gunned down, search operation is underway in the area to hunt down another terrorist believed to be hiding in the area.
