DODA, NOVEMBER 21: A training-cum-workshop was held today here in the Community Hall Doda to impart training to the supervisory staff for the seamless conduct of the upcoming OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) based police constable recruitment examination.
Scheduled for December 1, 8, and 22, 2024, these exams will involve around 10,000 candidates from across the District. The workshop aimed to acquaint magistrates, observers, superintendents, and invigilators with the examination’s rules, regulations, and procedures.
The session was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh along with the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sudershan Kumar, and Dr Pritam Lal Thapa, member of the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB).
During the workshop, the JKSSB member provided a detailed overview of the essential norms, guidelines, and operational protocols required for the smooth conduct of the OMR-based exams. Presentations addressed key aspects such as handling examination materials, ensuring transparency, and maintaining confidentiality throughout the process.
Magistrates and observers raised significant queries regarding the management of large-scale participation and handling unforeseen situations during the exams. In response, the ADC Doda and the JKSSB member emphasized strict adherence to guidelines and encouraged proactive measures to tackle any challenges. Officials were directed to ensure a fair and impartial examination process, maintain proper security, and foster effective coordination among all stakeholders. Specific instructions were issued on dealing with cases of impersonation, tampering with OMR sheets, and managing crowds.
The workshop witnessed active participation from magistrates, observers, superintendents, invigilators, and officials from the district administration and JKSSB. The collaborative discussions reaffirmed the attendees’ commitment to upholding the integrity of the recruitment process. Concluding the session, ADC Doda urged all participants to work diligently and maintain the highest standards of professionalism to ensure a successful examination.
