Under LG Sinha’s leadership, 1 lakh developmental projects completed in a year

Srinagar, Apr 28: Under the leadership of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Jammu and Kashmir has achieved a remarkable milestone with the completion of 1 lakh developmental projects in a single year.
Over the past five years, Jammu and Kashmir has experienced a notable surge in development, with a tenfold increase in the completion of various projects.  

Official records reveal a substantial shift in developmental efforts, where completion of projects has risen from around 10,000 projects annually before 2019 to 100000.
An official said that the Jammu and Kashmir government has initiated a mission to establish road connectivity to unconnected habitations, enhance and extend the intra-Union Territory road network, particularly in rural and remote regions.
Similarly, the number of available e-services in Jammu and Kashmir has surged from 40 to over 1000.
The digital transformation has removed unnecessary hindrances to the masses at different levels in Jammu and Kashmir.
A senior official said the e-UNNAT is an important step in the digital journey of Jammu and Kashmir by connecting it with the concept of Digital India.
“Jammu and Kashmir is the first Union Territory in India to use and implement its digital services under the government. This is saving both money and time of the citizens of the Union Territory and also bringing transparency in the system,” the official said.
J&K has been looking to bring in investments including in tourism and hospitality, education, health, agriculture, tourism, IT, handicrafts, food processing units, pharmaceuticals, skill development, milk, poultry and wool, infrastructure and real estate, herbal and medicine plant, film sector, renewable energy, and others.
According to official figures, the Jammu and Kashmir government has received investment proposals of over Rs 90,000 crore from investors over the last few years.
Industrial investment of more than Rs 14,000 crore has either been realized on the ground or related projects are in the pipeline, officials said.
