JAMMU, NOV 20: In a significant stride towards fostering tribal welfare and inclusivity, Kavita Garg, Union Joint Secretary, Ministry for AYUSH, visited the Post Graduate Boys Tribal Hostel, Jammu.
The visit was a critical component of the broader Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and coincided with the ongoing Janjatiya Gaurav Saptah, a week-long celebration honoring the rich cultural heritage and contribution of tribal communities in India.
The event was attended by the officers including Musheer Ahmad Mirza, Director Tribal Affairs Department, Sandeep Seointra, Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Ishita Rathi, Dr. Abdul Khabir, Deputy Director of the department.
This event was one among a series of initiatives being held during the week that aimed to showcase tribal art, culture, and heritage, fostering a greater understanding and appreciation among the broader population.
Dr. Abdul Khabir, in his welcome address, outlined various initiatives being undertaken by the department for tribal students. He highlighted the reformative measures being implemented by the department.
