Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra: Massive public participation contributes to vibrant activities in Jammu

JAMMU, NOV 28: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a nationwide outreach initiative aimed at informing and empowering citizens about the Centre’s flagship schemes, has been traversing the district since Monday and prominently covered panchayats Chak Agra in block RS Pura and Surey Chak in Mandal Phallain.

The Yatra aims to reaffirm commitment for a developed India besides reaching out to the underserved population to saturate the Centrally Sponsored Schemes such as Ayushman Bharat, PM Awas Yojana, PM Ujjwala Yojana, PM KISAN, Jal Jeevan Mission, Jan Dhan Yojana, Kisan Credit Card, among others.

At Chak Agra in block RS Pura, the Yatra was welcomed by a large number of villagers, especially women and children, who participated in various activities organised by the district administration and the implementing agencies.

A scintillating Cultural program featuring folk music and dance was presented by school students, who also took the pledge to work for the development of the nation. A Poshan Project awareness stall was set up to educate the people about the importance of nutrition and health. A medical camp was also organised, where free medicines were distributed and beneficiaries availed the benefits of the event. A demonstration by drone was also given to the farmers, who were made aware of the latest technologies and practices in agriculture. Self help groups were also encouraged to showcase their products and services.

At Surey Chak in block Mandal Phallain, the Yatra received a similar enthusiastic response from the locals, who expressed their gratitude to the government for bringing various schemes and initiatives to their doorstep. The Yatra also highlighted the achievements and progress made by the UT under various sectors such as education, health, infrastructure, tourism, sports, etc. Similar events were reported from block Arnia as well.
