Weather to remain dry till Oct 4: MeT

Srinagar, Sep 29: The Meteorological Centre on Tuesday said that Jammu and Kashmir is likely to witness generally dry weather till October 4, with light rain and snowfall expected over higher reaches on October 5 and 6.
According to the latest forecast, the weather is expected to remain generally dry on September 30 and from October 1 to 4.

“On October 5 and 6, the weather is likely to be partly to generally cloudy, with light rain, thunder and gusty winds at a few places. Light snowfall is also possible over the higher reaches during the period,” the MeT centre said.
The weather is forecast to remain generally dry again on October 7 and 8.
Another spell of partly to generally cloudy weather is expected from October 9 to 11, when light rain, light snowfall over higher reaches, thunder and gusty winds may occur at scattered places.
The Meteorological Centre has advised farmers to continue harvesting apples and paddy along with other agricultural operations during the period. (KNO)
