J&K: Village guards fire at suspects near border in Rajouri

Jammu, Aug 27: The members of Village Defence Guards (VDG) fired a few rounds in the air after seeing a suspicious movement in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Police sources here said that the VDG members fired in the air late in the evening on Monday after noticing a suspicious movement in Mehra village of Rajouri.

The joint team of police and army launched a search operation to get the information.
The search operation launched by the security forces is in progress,” they said, adding that the forces are on alert to thwart any attempt by the anti-national forces.(UNI)
