Plans to Turn Bihar into a Shooting Hub – Film Publicist Sanjay Bhushan Patiala and South Indian Film Actor Pankaj Kesari Meet Minister Dr. Pramod Kumar

Patna, October 25, 2026 – A significant meeting took place in Patna today, aimed at transforming Bihar into the country’s new shooting hub. Film publicist and producer Sanjay Bhushan Patiala met with Dr. Pramod Kumar, the Minister for Art, Culture, and Youth Affairs in the Government of Bihar. They were accompanied by Pankaj Kesari, a popular actor from the South Indian film industry.

The discussion covered the Bihar Film Promotion Policy, the proposed Film City in Rajgir, and the creation of employment opportunities for the youth within the film sector.

Minister Dr. Pramod Kumar stated, “Bihar possesses immense potential in art and culture. Our government’s vision is for Bihar to evolve beyond being merely a ‘land of stories’ into a major center for film production. Just as the South Indian film industry leveraged its regional strengths to gain national recognition, Bihar, too, will progress. We are simplifying our film promotion policy to attract producers from both Bollywood and the South. Furthermore, shooting locations in and around Rajgir and Patna are currently being developed.”

Film publicist Sanjay Bhushan Patiala remarked, “I am grateful to the Minister for his highly positive outlook toward the film industry in Bihar. For a long time, I have been working to serve as a bridge between Bihar and Bollywood. Talented artists like actor Pankaj Kesari are bringing pride to Bihar through their work in the South. If the government provides subsidies and a single-window clearance system, major projects from the South and Bollywood will be shot in Bihar, offering a significant platform for local youth. We are committed to working alongside the government to establish Bihar as a premier shooting hub.”
