4 Naxals killed in Telangana

Telangana Mar 19 : A credible intelligence was received Monday afternoon that some members of Telangana State Committee have crossed Pranhita river from Telangana into Gadchiroli with an aim to carry out subversive activities during MCC period of upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
Multiple teams of C60 and CRPF QAT were launched from Aheri Sub Police Headquarters led by Addnl SP Ops Yatish Deshmukh for area search. One of the teams comprising of 4 C60 parties while searching Tuesday early morning in Kolamarka mountains 5 km SE of SPS Repanpalli were fired indiscriminately by Naxals, which was retaliated strongly by C60 teams.

After the firing stopped and area was searched, four male naxal dead bodies have been recovered. 1 AK47, 1 Carbine and 2 country made pistols, naxal literature and belongings have also been recovered from the firing spot. The dead bodies are primarily of

1. DVCM Vargeesh, Secretary of Mangi Indravelli Area Committee and member of Kumuram Bheem Mancherial Divisional Committee
2. ⁠DVCM Magtu, Secretary of Sirpur Chennur Area Committee
3. ⁠Platoon Member Kursang Raju
4. ⁠Platoon Member Kudimetta Venkatesh
   They collectively carried a cash reward of 36 Lakhs declared by Maharashtra Govt.
   Further search and anti naxal operations is underway in the area.
