After record turnout now all eyes on Exit Poll

Srinagar, May 30: After the record-breaking voter turnout, the candidates as well as the political parties continue to keep their eye intact as the exit polls for Lok Sabha 2024 elections are all set to be released tomorrow, which would indicate the possible results on the ground.
However, the final results will be out on June 04 when the counting of votes across the country will be held for which all the arrangements have been made by the Election Commission of India (ECI).

The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed a historic voter turnout in the Lok Sabha elections, with 58.46 percent of the electorate casting their votes—the highest in 35 years, which marks a significant 30% increase compared to the 2019 elections.
As the counting of votes begins, political parties and candidates are anxiously calculating their prospects for victory.
In the 2019 elections, Jammu and Kashmir, which includes Ladakh at the time, had six Lok Sabha seats. The BJP secured three seats—Jammu, Udhampur, and Ladakh—while the National Conference (NC) won the three seats in the Kashmir Valley: Baramulla, Srinagar, and Anantnag.
The exit polls in 2019 were remarkably accurate in predicting the election outcomes. The predictions closely mirrored the actual results, where the BJP and NC each secured three seats.
All the National Television channels have pressed their men to gather all the details on the ground to make the exit poll public, which would indicate the fate of the candidates, who are in the fray for the Lok Sabha seats.
The elections across the country will culminate tomorrow following which the exit polls will be released. The poll body had barred the releasing of exit polls till the culmination of all the seven phases of Lok Sabha elections, which started from April 19 and will culminate on June 01.
