Sopore, Aug 5: A joint search operation was conducted on Wednesday in Ghat Ningli and Sheer Colony areas of Sopore under the jurisdiction of Police Station Amargadh by the Special Operations Group (SOG) Sopore, 177 Battalion CRPF, and 52 Rashtriya Rifles (Army).
According to official sources, the speculative Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was launched as part of ongoing security measures in the area.
During the search, security forces recovered 45 scrap shells from the residential house of Shahbaz Aziz Dar, son of Abdul Aziz Dar, a resident of Sheer Colony, Sopore.
The recovered shells are reported to be scrap in nature.
Authorities have taken the material into custody for examination, and further investigation is underway to ascertain all relevant facts and circumstances.
