All Minority Employees Association of Kashmir Advances Efforts to Address Employee Concerns

Kashmir, Aug 20 : The All Minority Employees Association of Kashmir (AMEAK) is pleased to announce significant progress in their ongoing endeavors to address the issues facing minority employees. Over the past four days, a delegation from AMEAK engaged in a series of productive discussions/ meetings with key administrative dignitaries to address the concerns of the minority employees’ community.
The delegation had the honor of meeting with several prominent figures, including Sh. Sanjeev Verma Ji, the Worthy Commissioner Secretary of the General Administration Department (GAD). The discussions with the GAD team revolved around the pivotal issue of settling leaves to resolve technical glitches in line with Civil Service Regulation (CSR) guidelines. Notably, AMEAK submitted a comprehensive report encompassing 44 departments where minority employees are stationed. The delegation’s efforts led to the GAD preparing a favorable technical report in response to the issue. Additionally, meetings with the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, ADGP Kashmir, DC Budgam, DC Relief Org. and various other esteemed officials transpired.

One of the landmark achievements during the meetings was the acknowledgement of the turmoil period as on-duty. The Honourable Lieutenant Governor, UT Administration, and GAD have taken the AMEAK’s request into consideration, and a forthcoming circular/order will officially confirm this recognition. This accomplishment marks a significant stride toward addressing the concerns of minority employees like: consideration of medical ground employees, operation of waiting lists, delayed joining candidates, terminated employees, promotions awaiting employees, etc.
The AMEAK delegation’s engagements extended beyond the realm of GAD, involving discussions with several administrative dignitaries across different issues. The delegation presented tailored representations addressing specific concerns. The dignitaries who were facilitated with a book ( “The History of Kashmir and it’s Pandits” ) by team AMEAK for providing a patient hearing regarding redressal of our issues included Sh. Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir; Sh. Vijay Kumar, ADGP Kashmir; Sh. Akshay Labroo, DC Budgam; Sh. Rohit Sharma, Addl. Secretary GAD; Sh. Rakesh Balwal, SSP Srinagar; Sh. Sundeep Chakravarthy, SSP PHQ; Sh. Raja Yaqoob, Director Tourism; and Sh. Latafat Qadri, DC Relief Org.
AMEAK remains resolute in its commitment to advocating for the rights and concerns of minority employees. The tireless efforts and unwavering dedication of the association’s members have yielded positive outcomes, with tangible progress on multiple fronts. AMEAK is optimistic about the positive results that are anticipated to emanate from these efforts in the near future.
