Assam Rifles National Integration Tour under the Civic Action Programme took the Members of Jiri Ima Meira Paibi Apunba Lup (JIMPAL) from Jiribam, Manipur and have reached Shillong. A hearty discussion and experience sharing interaction was scheduled with Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, Director General Assam Rifles at Shillong. The tour members also visited the mesmerising Laitkor Assam Rifles garrison.
The interaction was followed by high tea, fostering warm connections. The tour also visited the Assam Rifles museum, taking them through the history, courage and sacrifice of the brave Assam Rifles soldiers through the years.
The visit aims to promote cultural understanding, national unity and showcasing the rich heritage of Northeast India.
