Baramulla, April 21, 2026: Marking the anniversary of the deadly Baisaran terror attack in Pahalgam, Chairperson of the Association of Terror Victims in Kashmir (ATVK), Tasleema Akhtar, said the pain of the tragedy remains deeply etched in public memory, with families of the victims still awaiting justice.
Recalling the victims, Akhtar described the day as one of the darkest chapters in recent history, saying the trauma continues to resonate not only across Jammu and Kashmir but throughout the country. “It was a day of bloodshed that shook the conscience of the entire nation,” she said.

She reiterated that the Association remains steadfast in its commitment to seek justice for the bereaved families. “Our struggle will continue until justice is delivered to every innocent life lost in the attack,” she asserted.
Paying tribute to Adil Hussain, the Kashmiri youth who lost his life while bravely confronting the attackers, Akhtar hailed his sacrifice as a symbol of courage and humanity. “His bravery in the face of terror will always be remembered and honoured,” she said.
Her remarks come as people across the Valley observe the anniversary, remembering the victims and renewing calls for accountability and stronger measures to prevent such tragedies in the future.
