Bank of India Shines with Strong Q1 Performance
Mumbai (Anil Bedag): Bank of India has announced an impressive set of financial results for the first quarter of FY 2026-27, ended June 30, 2026. The bank’s net profit surged 36.23% year-on-year to ₹3,068 crore, while operating profit rose 25.99% to ₹5,051 crore. The bank also reported a Return on Assets (ROA) of 1.01% and a Return on Equity (ROE) of 16.12%, reflecting strong operational performance.
The bank’s total global business grew 16.57% year-on-year to ₹17.56 lakh crore. Global deposits increased 14.90% to ₹9.58 lakh crore, while global advances rose 18.64% to ₹7.98 lakh crore. Domestic deposits registered a healthy growth of 16.15%, and domestic advances expanded by 19.20%. Retail, Agriculture and MSME (RAM) advances grew 19.75% to ₹3.93 lakh crore, accounting for 58.30% of the bank’s domestic gross advances.
The bank also recorded significant improvement in asset quality. Its Gross NPA declined to 1.81%, while Net NPA stood at 0.51%. The Capital Adequacy Ratio (CRAR) remained strong at 18.69%. Meanwhile, digital transactions increased by 22% to 20.8 billion (208 crore) during the period. These robust quarterly results underscore Bank of India’s strong financial position, improved asset quality, and sustained growth momentum.
