BHSS Nadihal Bandipora Organises Educational Industrial Tour for Vocational Students

Bandipora October 28 : Government Boys Higher Secondary School Nadihal Bandipora conducted an industrial visit for Vocational students ranging from Level 1 to Level 4 (9th, 10th, 11th, & 12th) pursuing IT/ITeS trade.
The school’s principal, Mohammad Hussain Magray, emphasised that these industrial visits are an integral part of the Vocational Curriculum. Each year, students are taken to various institutions to enhance their knowledge in the trades taught at the school and gain insight into how these vocational courses and services operate in real-life scenarios. This year, we selected the Government College of Engineering Safapora for the industrial tour, where our students had the opportunity to interact with faculty members from different departments and learn about various technological fields,” he mentioned.
Principal Magray expressed gratitude to Dr. Rouf Ahmad Khan, Principal of GCET Safapora, and other faculty members for welcoming their students to the campus and providing valuable insights into technological trends.
Ghulam Mohammad Wani, Vice Principal, highlighted that the vocationalization of education at the High/Higher Secondary School level is a step taken by the Ministry of HRD (Government of India) to diversify education opportunities across the country. This initiative equips students with skills in domains such as Information Technology and Healthcare, preparing them for a wide range of careers.
Neelofer Bashir, VT (IT/ITeS), emphasised that these tours serve as inspiration for students, motivating them to explore diverse career paths and acquire practical skills that can lead to successful careers. She expressed gratitude to the school’s principal for the full support and cooperation that made the tour a success. This visit was a precious opportunity for the students to gain practical insights of IT Sector. During the visit, students got the opportunity to interact with IT professionals and faculty to ask questions, and apply their classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios. They learnt, how Information technology is used in libraries practically.This experience helps to bridge the gap between theory and practical, preparing students for potential careers in the IT Sector.
