BJP spokesperson Manzoor Bhat said that a major positive development is likely to come soon for the Special Police Officers (SPOs) of Jammu & Kashmir Police with their genuine and long-pending demands expected to be addressed shortly.
Good news is coming very soon for our SPOs in J&K Police. Their demands are genuine and have been under serious consideration. I am confident that their long pending concerns will be resolved at the earliest Bhat said.
Bhat expressed his gratitude to the Leader of Opposition in the J&K Legislative Assembly, Sunil Sharma, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for taking serious cognizance of the concerns of SPOs and giving due attention to their genuine demands.
He said that SPOs have rendered dedicated service under difficult circumstances and have played an important role in maintaining peace and security in Jammu & Kashmir.
The contribution and sacrifices of our SPOs cannot be overlooked. We are hopeful that a positive decision will be announced very soon, bringing much needed relief to our SPOs and their families,” Bhat added.
Bhat said that the National Conference has betrayed the trust of the people by failing to honour its commitments. The BJP will not make hollow promises; we will work with sincerity and determination to address the genuine problems of the people and provide them with a secure and dignified future.
