Srinagar, Nov 22: Prominent youth leader and senior party leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Jammu and Kashmir, Manzoor Bhat, paid a visit to the hospital in Srinagar today to inquire about the condition of Inspector Masroor Ahmad Wani, who was shot and injured by a terrorist on October 29 while playing cricket at the Eidgah playground.
Inspector Wani sustained critical injuries to the eye, abdomen, and neck in the attack. During his hospital visit, Manzoor Bhat expressed solidarity with Inspector Wani’s family, assuring them of the BJP’s unwavering support during this challenging time.
Bhat said, “Bharat takes immense pride in individuals who make sacrifices for our nation. We extend our love and steadfast support to them.” He further assured Inspector Wani’s father that both the government and the police department would extend all possible assistance to the family.
While acknowledging Inspector Wani’s gradual recovery on the ventilator, Bhat expressed his wishes for good health and a speedy recovery. He highlighted the collective prayers and support from thousands of police personnel and citizens for Inspector Wani’s family to remain resilient.
The family, expressing their desire for enhanced medical care, appealed to Bhat to facilitate Inspector Wani’s treatment at AIIMS Hospital in Delhi. Recognizing the urgency, Manzoor Bhat has requested Home Minister Amit Shah and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to consider airlifting the injured officer to Delhi for specialized medical attention, aligning with the family’s wishes.
The BJP leader concluded his visit by reiterating the party’s commitment to the well-being of those who dedicate their lives to serving the nation and pledged ongoing support to Inspector Masroor Ahmad Wani’s family.
