Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi films ‘Ground Zero’ amid excited fans in Kashmir

Srinagar, Apr 21: Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi is currently in the picturesque valleys of Kashmir shooting for his upcoming film ‘Ground Zero’. The actor’s presence has created quite a buzz among local fans, with several videos and images from the set location circulating online.
In the visuals, a slew of excited fans gather around Hashmi, who don an Indian army uniform for his role in the film. The actor graciously obliges fans with photos and selfies, amidst tight security.

Directed by Tejas Vijay Deoskar, known for acclaimed Marathi films such as ‘Ajinkya’ and ‘Bucket List’, ‘Ground Zero’ features Hashmi as an Indian army officer. The film is backed by the renowned Excel Entertainment production house, co-owned by actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.
Last year, reports of Hashmi being injured in a stone-pelting incident in Pahalgam, Kashmir, went viral on social media, leaving fans worried. However, the actor swiftly took to social media to quash the rumours.
“The people of Kashmir have been very warm and welcoming. It has been an absolute joy shooting in Srinagar and Pahalgam. The news of me being injured in a stone-pelting incident is inaccurate,” Hashmi wrote, reassuring his followers.
‘Ground Zero’ also stars Sai Tamhankar and Mukesh Tiwari in pivotal roles. Hashmi’s Kashmir schedule is expected to continue for several more weeks as the crew captures the stunning locales of the valley.
Apart from ‘Ground Zero’, Hashmi has an exciting slate of projects lined up. He is set to make his debut in the Telugu film industry with the action thriller ‘They Call Him OG’, co-starring Priyanka Arul Mohan, Arjun Das, and veteran actor Prakash Raj. The film is slated for a September release this year.
Recently, the actor made a special appearance in the historical thriller drama ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’, further cementing his versatility across genres.
As Hashmi continues his Kashmir schedule amid tight security and excited fans, the anticipation for ‘Ground Zero’ and his future projects continues to build among his legion of followers.
