Pursuant to the vision of Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi of a DRUG FREE INDIA (Nasha Mukt Bharat) and acting upon the directives of Hon’ble Union Home Minister Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has achieved significant success in dismantling clandestine lab and drug network.
On 22.03.2025 NCB seized 46.8 kg of white colour powdery substance purported to be Mephedrone (MD) and arrested 02 persons from Bhandup area of Mumbai. The drug was hidden in a plastic container at residence of one accused. In course of examination of the arrested accused it came forth that hemanufactured this drug in lab located at Mahad Industrial area, District – Raigad. This clandestine lab was raided thereafterand a suspicious chemical was seized.
It hascome forth that the supplier of this drug has two cases registered against him under provision of NDPS Act by DRI. It has further been revealed that presently he was out on bail. Further investigation in this case is underway.
