Centre will provide every possible help for development of Agri sector of J&K: MoS Karandlaje

Srinagar, Aug 3 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (AFW) Sushri Shobha Karandlaje on Thursday assured every possible help for the development of agriculture and horticulture sectors in Jammu and Kashmir.
The minister who was chairing a meeting here on Thursday to review the functioning of Agriculture, Horticulture departments and ICAR-CITH assured the concerned officers of every possible support from the Union Ministry for the development of agriculture, horticulture and other allied sectors in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing the meeting, the Union Minister stressed on submission of projects on value addition of different horticulture and agriculture crops so that the socio-economic development of the farming community could be achieved.
She impressed upon the participants to ensure that PRI representatives are taken on board during the implementation of different schemes, programs for the welfare of the farming community of the region.
Karandlaje asked the officers to increase the awareness among the farmers at Panchayat level so that the desired results under different programmes could be realised.
During the meeting, a detailed powerpoint presentation was given before the minister by Director Agriculture Kashmir, Director Central Institute of Temperate Horticulture (CITH) and Deputy Director Horticulture Kashmir regarding CSS ,HADF and credit linked schemes.
