Cluster University Srinagar NSS Volunteer Selected for Republic Day Parade 2025 at New Delhi

Srinagar, December 18: Cluster University Srinagar has achieved a moment of great pride and National recognition as one of the National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers, Wasil Ayub enrolled in Government College of Engineering and Technology (GCET), Safapora, has been selected to participate in the Republic Day Parade–2025 at New Delhi, to be held in the August presence of the Hon’ble President of India.

This prestigious achievement reflects the University’s sustained commitment to youth development, nation-building and extension activities under the visionary leadership of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Cluster University Srinagar, Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Mobin. Under his dynamic stewardship, the University has been making remarkable strides in academics, outreach programmes and student engagement, earning national-level recognition through initiatives such as the National Service Scheme.

The selection of Mr. Wasil Ayub is particularly noteworthy, as only four NSS volunteers from the entire Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir have been selected for this prestigious national event—two from Jammu, one from SKUAST Kashmir and one from Cluster University Srinagar—underscoring the significance of this accomplishment.

Principal, GCET Safapora, Prof. Rauf Ahmad Khan, along with the faculty, staff and the NSS fraternity, congratulated Mr. Wasil Ayub for his dedication, discipline and unwavering commitment to national service. They lauded his achievement for bringing laurels to the institution and the University.
