A new chapter in community-military relations was written today in Bandipora as the Indian Army concluded Kashmiruk Fankaar Season III. The initiative, aimed at fostering deep-rooted trust and mutual respect, brought together over 3,000 members of the local community to witness the grand finale of a three-week journey that engaged 2,100 participants.
Major General Tushar Sharma, VSM, GOC Kilo Force, alongside Brigadier Hemant Singh Ponwar, Commander 3 Sector Rashtriya Rifles and Ms. Indu Kanwal Chib, Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, stood with the people of Bandipora to celebrate the achievements of the youth.
The event showcased the “Army-Awam” bond in its purest form, with soldiers and civilians working hand-in-hand to ensure the success of the program.
The three-phase execution of the event—spanning from December 3 to December 20—focused on holistic development. While Phase I built teamwork through sports, Phase II addressed socially relevant issues, encouraging the youth to become pillars of a responsible society. The final phase allowed the youth to express their aspirations through art and performance.
