The Lieutenant Governor orders constitution of a high-level three-member committee headed by ACS Jal Shakti Mr Shaleen Kabra to enquire into the reasons behind the tragic land-slide incident near Ardhkuwari on Shri Mata Vaishno Devi track on 26th August. Divisional Commissioner, Jammu and IGP, Jammu are the two other members of the committee.
The Committee shall :
- Examine in detail the causes/reasons behind the incident and point out any lapses.
- Assess responses in the form to rescue and relief measures undertaken.
- Suggest appropriate SoPs and measures for preventing recurrence of such incidents in future.
The committee shall submit its report within two weeks to the Lieutenant Governor.
