Sanjay Bhushan Patiala meets Minister Deepak Prakash and former Union Minister Upendra Kushwaha; discusses ‘Film City’ and ‘Digital Panchayat’ initiatives.

Patna, October 24, 2026 – Sanjay Bhushan Patiala, a prominent Mumbai-based film publicist and director of the production house ‘Hungama House Private Limited’, paid a courtesy visit to Deepak Prakash, the Minister of Panchayati Raj for the Government of Bihar, in Patna today. During the meeting, several key issues concerning the development of Bihar were discussed. Sanjay Bhushan Patiala presented two major proposals to the Minister. The first was the establishment of a ‘Film City’ in Bihar. He noted that while Bihar possesses an abundance of talent, the absence of a dedicated film hub forces thousands of artists from the state to migrate to Mumbai. He emphasized that the creation of a Film City in Bihar would generate large-scale employment opportunities.

The second proposal pertained to the Panchayati Raj Department. He suggested the production of an awareness-focused short film themed “Swachh Panchayat – Sundar Panchayat” (Clean Panchayat – Beautiful Panchayat), which could be screened across the state’s 8,046 panchayats to promote and disseminate information about various government schemes.

Responding positively to the proposal, Minister Deepak Prakash stated, “We will consider this, deliberate upon it, and take concrete action moving forward.”

Following this, Sanjay Bhushan Patiala also met with Upendra Kushwaha, the National President of the Rashtriya Lok Morcha and a former Union Minister. Upendra Kushwaha commended his efforts in the fields of art, culture, and youth employment.

On this occasion, Sanjay Bhushan Patiala remarked that Bihar is undergoing rapid transformation under the leadership of Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He added that the appointment of the young Minister Deepak Prakash is set to usher in a ‘digital revolution’ within the Panchayati Raj sector. He further affirmed that the film industry is prepared to collaborate with the government.
