Srinagar November 18:-Under the aegis of the Civic Action Programme (CAP), Shopian Police organised a Cricket Tournament for Specially-Abled Persons at Batapora Stadium, Shopian. The tournament, which commenced on 10th November 2025, concluded today with a colorful closing ceremony.
The tournament was inaugurated by SSP Shopian, Sh. Mushtaq Ahmad Choudhary-JKPS, with players from different regions of south kashmir who are specially abled participated. The final match was played between Anantnag legends and Zaiba warriors with zaiba warriors emerging victorious by 8 wickets. During the final match ceremony, SSP Shopian distributed cash prizes and trophies among the winners and runners-up.
The event was attended by DySP Hqrs Shopian, DySP DAR Shopian, Probationary DySP along with a large number of spectators and sports enthusiasts from the district and nearby areas. The participants were encouraged and assured that shopian police are always ready to offer any kind of help they need and also such events will be organised in future also.
