JAMMU, DEC 18: Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir, Atal Dulloo, recognized the significant contributions of Kashmiri Pandit ‘achievers in exile’ during a vibrant felicitation function at Abhinav Theatre today. The event, organized by Lalitaditya Sports, Education, and Health Foundation in collaboration with Vomedh, showcased the ethos, culture, and traditions of KPs.
Dulloo, the chief guest, commended the efforts of Lalitaditya Organisation for preserving culture and traditions in the exile environment. Former DGP Kuldeep Khoda and Senior Additional Advocate General Smt Monika Kohli, Former Vice Chancellor Prof Rattan Lal Hangloo were guests of honor, and special guests included former IGP Yoginder Kaul, SSP V K Bhat, Ajey Bharti, Dr Agnishekhar, Prof B L Zutshi, Kiran Wattal, Captain Anil Gaur, Hira Lal Bhat and various sponsors.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Secretary Dulloo emphasized the need to involve Kashmiri Pandit youth in preserving culture, tradition, and rituals, stating that such programs serve as a launching pad for maintaining the sanctity and spirit of culture and ethos.
President of Lalitaditya Sports, Education, and Health Organisation, Anil Bhat, in his welcome address, highlighted the organization’s efforts in providing platforms for KP sportspersons and artists. The event aimed to honor achievers in the community in exile and felicitate Atal Dulloo on his elevation as Chief Secretary.
The program featured mesmerizing cultural performances by the artists of ‘Vomedh,’ casting a spell on the audience. The Chief Guest honored achievers such as Rajesh Dhar, Ashish Kachroo, Rohit Bhat, Deepak Raina, Kirti Dhar, Ashutosh Pandit, Ajay Pandita, Vinod Pandita, Dr Meenakshi Kilam, and Dr Samita Bhat for their outstanding contributions in various fields.
Additionally, the KPPL organizing team members, including Ritik Jotshi, Shivam Koul, Chetan Shah, Sahil Sharma, Ritesh, Rajat Kanth, Rahul Reshi, and Rahul Koul, were felicitated for their role in the community cause.
Lalitaditya Team, led by Anil Bhat (President), Ashish Kachroo (Vice President), Vinay Koul (General Secretary), Anil Bhushan (Treasurer), Deepak Raina (Media Advisor), and Executive Members P.N. Tickoo and Ankur Bagati, organized the successful event. Renowned anchor Bindya Raina Tickoo, who conducted the program, was also honored for her outstanding contribution to the KP community cause.
