Kupwara, September 17, 2026: In a decisive action against terror networks, Kupwara Police have attached immovable properties under Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) in connection with FIR No. 276/2022 of Police Station Kupwara, registered under Sections 120-B, 121-A, 122 and 123 of the IPC, and Sections 17, 18, 18-A, 18-B, 20, 38, 39 and 40 of the UAPA.
The attached properties include 10 Kanals and 07 Marlas of land falling under Khavit Nos. 187 Min and 437 Min; Khata Nos. 232 Min, 459 Min and 34 Min; and Survey Nos. 891 Min, 892 Min, 884 Min, 885 Min, 886 Min, 889 Min, 1181 Min, 1182 Min, 1188 Min, 1190 Min, 1184 Min, 1185 Min, 1186 Min, 1193 Min and 1728/870 Min.
The property also includes a three-storied residential house under Survey No. 892, belonging to Ab Majid Qureshi S/o Ab Rouf Qureshi, R/o Kachama, Tehsil & District Kupwara (A/P PoK).
Similarly, 05 Kanals of land falling under Khavit Nos. 187 Min and 437 Min; Khata Nos. 232 Min and 659 Min; and Survey Nos. 891 Min, 882 Min, 884 Min, 885 Min, 886 Min, 887 Min, 889 Min, 1181 Min, 1182 Min, 1189 Min, 1190 Min, 1184 Min, 1186 Min, 1193 Min and 1188 Min, along with a single-storied residential house under Survey No. 889 Min, belonging to Parvaiz Ahmad Qureshi S/o Mohd Mustafa Qureshi, R/o Kachama, Tehsil Kralpora, District Kupwara (A/P PoK), has also been attached under the provisions of law.
The properties have been identified as proceeds of terrorism, allegedly linked to the involvement of the concerned individuals in facilitating and promoting terrorist activities in the district.
The action forms part of the ongoing efforts of Kupwara Police to dismantle terror-support networks and disrupt the financial and logistical ecosystem facilitating unlawful and terrorist activities.
