Says Youth Clubs will help channelize the energy of youth in a positive direction
BANDIPORA JULY 08: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri inaugurated a Youth Club at Government Middle School, Marder, Bandipora, under the Nasha Bharat Mukt Abhiyan (Drugs-Free India Campaign).
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Padma Shri Awardee Faisal Ali Dar, brand ambassador of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and President of the Bandipora Youth Federation, as the guest of honor.
On the occasion, DC further stressed that sports is a vital tool to combat drug addiction and that such clubs should be established throughout the district to make Bandipora drug-free.
Padma Shri Awardee Faisal Ali Dar assured the youth that the Bandipora Youth Federation will provide all necessary support to promote sports and combat drug menace. He pledged that the federation will stand with the youth in all social activities and initiatives in the district.
The youth club will provide training facilities to children after school hours and on Sundays. This initiative has shown promising results, as sports have become a powerful tool to prevent drug addiction.
