9 New heritage projects for Phase-III approved, progress on Phase-II works assessed
BUDGAM MARCH 10: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam Akshay Labroo presided over a meeting of the District Coordination cum Implementation Committee (DCIC) to review the progress of approved projects under phase II, and approve and identify the new projects under “scheme for Revival, Restoration, Preservation and Maintenance of Architecture and heritage in the District.
As part of the agenda, the committee finalized 9 new heritage projects for taking-up under Phase-III.
Additionally, a comprehensive review of the projects undertaken in Phase-II was conducted to assess progress of projects in the district.
The DC emphasised the need for preserving cultural heritage while ensuring smooth and timely execution of ongoing initiatives. Officials were directed to streamline processes, enhance interdepartmental coordination, and fast-track implementation to achieve desired outcomes
He emphasized the need to adhere to the stipulated time frame to ensure the swift commencement of work on these projects.
The meeting was attended by ADC Budgam, CPO Budgam, Executive Engineers of R&B, RDD, CEO, DSEO and other members.
