New Delhi, Sep 17: Prime Minister Narendra Modi received birthday greetings from foreign envoys, President Droupadi Murmu, Union ministers, chief ministers and other political leaders on Thursday, as he turned 76.
Slovak Ambassador to India Robert Maxian, Japan’s Ambassador to India Ono Keiichi and Australia’s High Commissioner to India Philip Green extended their wishes to the Prime Minister, highlighting bilateral ties with their respective countries.
The US Embassy in India also extended birthday greetings to Prime Minister Modi on behalf of US President Donald Trump.
“On behalf of President Donald Trump, we wish Prime Minister Narendra Modi a very Happy Birthday. Wishing you all the health and happiness in the coming year!” the embassy said in a post on X.
Slovak Ambassador Robert Maxian, in a post on X, recalled Prime Minister Modi’s recent visit to Slovakia and spoke about the warmth and friendship during the visit.
“Very Happy Birthday, Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Ji! Wishing you good health, happiness, strength and many more successful years ahead!” Maxian said.
He also thanked Modi for his visit to Slovakia, saying the visit continued to resonate in the country and that the warmth and friendship shared during it were fondly remembered.
Japan’s Ambassador to India Ono Keiichi also extended birthday greetings to Modi and linked the occasion to the India-Japan partnership.
“Warm birthday wishes to PM Shri Narendra Modi. Your leadership continues to inspire India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat,” Ono said in a post on X.
He also referred to the upcoming 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Japan, expressing hopes for the partnership to reach greater heights.
Australia’s High Commissioner to India Philip Green conveyed his birthday wishes to Modi and referred to the Prime Minister’s recent visit to Australia.
“Happy Birthday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji. Your recent visit to Australia showcased the extraordinary warmth and strength of the Australia-India relationship and the deep bonds between our people,” Green said.
President Droupadi Murmu also extended birthday greetings to Prime Minister Modi, referring to his 25 years of public service as Chief Minister and Prime Minister.
In a post shared on X, President Murmu said Modi had established new benchmarks in good governance and given momentum and a new direction to inclusive development.
She also referred to India’s efforts to combine modern progress with cultural heritage and prayed for Modi’s good health and long life so that he could continue his public service and nation-building efforts.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah extended birthday wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, praising his 25 years of public service and describing his political journey as an example of sacrifice, national service and unwavering resolve.
Calling the prime minister a symbol of tireless hard work, sacrifice and foresight, Shah said, “The life of Modi ji, who has made ‘karma’ his ‘sadhana’ and national service the aim of his life, is an epic tale of penance, sacrifice and unwavering resolve.”
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh extended wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 76th birthday, saying that India is “moving with confidence” towards achieving the ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ goal under his leadership.
In a post on X, he also said the country is moving forward with a “renewed sense of purpose”, drawing strength from its civilisational roots.
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha also extended his greetings to Modi, describing his leadership as a source of inspiration in the country’s journey towards becoming self-reliant and developed.
“Heartfelt birthday greetings to our Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri @narendramodi Ji. Your visionary leadership in shaping a self-reliant, developed and progressive New India continues to inspire all of us. I pray for your long, healthy, and vibrant life as the nation collectively strives to fulfil your grand vision for the country,” Sinha said in a post on X.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah extended birthday greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Abdullah wished the Prime Minister good health and a long life in a post on X. “Wishing Hon PM @narendramodi ji a very happy birthday. Wish you good health and a long life,” Abdullah said.
