BUDGAM JULY 26: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat, today chaired a public darbar at Summerbugh Shalina in Block BK Pora, where he listened to the grievances and demands of residents from Summerbugh and adjoining villages, including Shalina, Rekh Shalina, Golpora, and Sheerbagh.
On the occasion, public raised several key demands, including development of the KLR road and inner link roads, establishment of a Veterinary Centre in the area, upgradation of Government Girls High School, holding medical camps and introduction of specialty ophthalmology services.
DC assured the public that all genuine demands will be addressed promptly, while issues beyond the district administration’s competence would be forwarded to higher authorities for necessary action.
He also assured that the main road leading to Summerbugh shall be macmadised this year under the NABARD.
Emphasising the importance of grassroots governance, DC directed all district officers to conduct regular field visits and engage with the public to understand their concerns firsthand.
He also informed the gathering that a mega employment camp will soon be organized in the area to provide job opportunities for local youth.
