DC Inaugurates Library cum Reading Hall at Govt Gujjar Bakarwal Boys Hostel in Doda

DODA, NOV 21: Deputy Commissioner, Harvinder Singh today inaugurated a Library cum Reading Hall at Government Gujjar Bakarwal Boys Hostel in Doda. This facility is designed to provide a conducive environment, fostering an atmosphere for students to enhance their learning and knowledge.
After the inauguration ceremony, the DC expressed his earnest desire to promote education and ensure necessary resources for students. He emphasized the significance of reading and encouraged students to leverage the new library to broaden their horizons. On this auspicious occasion, DC assured that the district administration in Doda would extend full support to the tribal community. He also offered advice to Gujar and Bakarwal students, urging them to strive for excellence in life.
A colourful cultural program, on the occasion of “Janjatiya Gausav Saptah 2023,” was organised at Gujjar Bakarwal Hostel (Boys), aiming at celebrating and showcasing the rich cultural heritage of tribal communities in Doda. The program is set to feature a myriad of cultural activities, including traditional dances, music performances, art exhibitions, and storytelling sessions.
