Doda Admin takes proactive steps to address public grievances through Weekly Block Diwas programme

DC leads public outreach program at Thathri

DODA NOV 22: The District Administration, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner, Harvinder Singh, is actively working towards addressing public grievances and meeting community expectations. Weekly Block Diwas programs are systematically organized across the district, especially in remote areas as per the directions of LG’s administration.

Deputy Commissioner along with SSP, Abdul Qayoom and other district officers recently chaired a public outreach program at Dakbunglow Thathri. He urged concerned officers to prepare for the upcoming Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra. The DC directed Prabhari officers, PRIs, and Sectoral officers to compile the data of government-sponsored schemes and share success stories related to their benefits. The gathering was encouraged to avail themselves of these schemes at their doorstep. Additionally, the PWD (R&B), PMGSY, Health, and other departments were directed to prepare for winter and assess the challenges for preparing a viable plan.
This week, Block Diwas events unfolded at crucial locations such as village Linga, Panchayat Dandi Kansar, Block Bhaderwah, Sub District Bhaderwah; Village Budhli, Panchayat Budhli, Sub Division Gandoh; Block Headquarter Assar, Sub Division Assar; and Dakbunglow Thathri. These locations served as focal points for addressing public demands, issues, and grievances promptly. The objective is to assess and resolve public concerns effectively with the active involvement of the district administration.
Weekly Block Diwas held at Linga Panchayat Dandi Kansar, Sub District Bhadarwah was chaired by BDC Chairman Omi Chand and ADC Bhadarwah Choudhary Dil Mir.
The government officers provided a range of services and listened to the grievances and demands of people, besides spreading awareness of various departmental schemes for the people.
Among other designated locations, Block Diwas program held at Block Headquarter Assar, Sub Division Assar was presided over by SDM Lekh Raj. He attentively listened to the public and directed concerned officers to resolve issues on the spot. The Tehsildar of Assar also attended the program and played a crucial role in addressing various issues in real-time. Similar event held at Panchayat Budhli, Sub Division Gandoh was attended by a large gathering of the people who highlighted their genuine issues, grievances and demands. The public outreach program was presided over by the Teshildar Gandoh.
