DC Kupwara reviews Social Security Schemes PMJJBY, PMSBY

KUPWARA, NOV 24: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan today convened a meeting here to review the implementation of action plan for saturation of the Social Security schemes PMJJBY and PMSBY in the district.
At the outset, the District Social Welfare Officer, Kupwara, Hidayat-uallah Mir gave a detailed Powerpoint presentation and apprised the chair about the achievements made so far under PMJJBY and PMSBY.

The DC held a threadbare deliberation on implementation of beneficiary-oriented schemes and took a comprehensive review of enrollment process, role of banks and progress made till date.
She stressed upon the concerned Officers to conduct IEC campaigns at massive scale and convince the beneficiaries about the benefits and importance of these schemes so that the targets under PMJJBY, PMSBY are achieved in Kupwara district which is also an aspirational district.
The DC directed concerned officers to also target beneficiaries of Social Welfare, CAPD, RDD and Labour etc under PMJJBY and PMSBY after proper verification.
He asked Bank officials to dedicate their staff, BCs, for enrollment drives in the district and focus on the most vulnerable section of society under CSR as well.
The meeting was attended by JD Planning, Assistant Commissioner Development, DIO, DSWO, AD Food, LDM J&K Bank, Kupwara, Cluster Head J&K Bank, representative from the Labour department and other stakeholders.
