District President Indian National Congress Pulwama, Joins NHM Protest Alongside Party Leaders and Workers

Pulwama, September 12: District President Indian National Congress Pulwama, Umer Jaan, today joined the protest of National Health Mission (NHM) employees in Pulwama, extending his full solidarity and support to the healthcare workers fighting for their legitimate rights and demands.
Addressing the protesting employees, Umer Jaan said that NHM workers are the backbone of the public healthcare system and have been serving the people of Jammu and Kashmir with dedication, often under challenging conditions. Their genuine concerns cannot be ignored, and the administration must take immediate and meaningful steps to address their grievances.

“Those who save lives cannot be left to struggle for their own livelihood. NHM employees deserve justice, dignity, job security and a fair resolution of their demands. The Congress party stands firmly with them.” Umer Jaan
He strongly urged the administration and concerned authorities to initiate immediate dialogue with the protesting employees and resolve their issues through a time-bound process. He said that healthcare workers must be treated with respect and their services and sacrifices must be recognised.
Umer Jaan further asserted that the Congress party will continue to raise the voice of employees, unemployed youth and every section of society whose genuine concerns remain unheard.
Prominent Congress leaders and workers present during the protest included Ashiq Hussain Khanday, Abdul Qayoom Dar, Umer Ajaz and others.
The presence of senior party leaders and workers reflected the Congress party’s commitment to standing with NHM employees and strengthening its connection with the people at the grassroots level.
Umer Jaan said that the struggle for justice will continue until the genuine demands of NHM employees are addressed.
