Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi Reviews Arrangements at Naqshband Sahib Shrine Ahead of Khwaja Digar

Srinagar, August 17, 2026: Ahead of the religious observance of Khwaja Digar, Chairperson of the Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board, Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, personally visited the historic Naqshband Sahib Shrine in Srinagar and reviewed the arrangements made there in detail.

During her visit, Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi personally inspected the various arrangements at the shrine, including cleanliness and sanitation, mats and carpeting for devotees, prayer areas, lighting, movement and access arrangements, facilities for devotees, and overall preparations.

She also interacted with the Waqf Board officers and staff present on the occasion and directed that all facilities for devotees be maintained in the best possible manner, so that they could offer their prayers and worship in a peaceful, clean and dignified environment.

The Chairperson also inspected the interior and exterior areas of the shrine and personally reviewed the arrangements made for devotees. Her presence on the ground reflected the Waqf Board’s emphasis on direct supervision, accountability and efficient arrangements during important religious occasions.

Following the inspection, the arrangements for Khwaja Digar were carried out smoothly, and the Khwaja Digar prayers were offered peacefully, with a large number of devotees participating with religious devotion and reverence.

Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi’s personal presence on the occasion once again reaffirmed the commitment of the Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board towards continuously improving the sanctity, cleanliness, upkeep and facilities for devotees at religious places under its management.
