CM listens to grievances of 200 people during Janata Darshan in Gorakhpur
Gorakhpur, June 6: During his stay in Gorakhpur, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met with the public on Friday morning at the Janata Darshan held at Gorakhnath Temple. Personally interacting with around 200 people, the Chief Minister attentively heard their grievances and collected their petitions. He directed officials to respond swiftly and sensitively to public complaints, ensuring timely, fair, and satisfactory resolutions.
Reaching out directly to citizens seated outside the Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhavan, CM Yogi patiently listened to each individual and issued immediate instructions to concerned administrative and police officers for resolution. He emphasized that all matters should be resolved transparently and efficiently. Reassuring the public, he said, “Do not worry. The government is committed to taking effective action on every issue.”
In response to complaints related to crime and illegal land encroachment, CM Yogi issued clear instructions to police officials to take strict action against criminals and land mafias. He said that if any powerful individual or mafia is forcibly grabbing someone’s land, they must face the strictest possible legal action. “No one harassing the poor will be spared,” he added.
As in previous Janata Darshan sessions, several people came seeking financial help for medical treatment. CM Yogi assured them that no treatment will be stalled due to lack of funds. He instructed officials to quickly prepare cost estimates for the required medical care and submit them so the government can release the funds without delay.
He further directed that Ayushman cardholders should face no difficulty in availing treatment, and those eligible but yet to receive the card must be issued one at the earliest.
Several women came to the Janata Darshan with their children. CM Yogi warmly interacted with the little ones, offering them chocolates and blessings.
CM visits temple cowshed
During his stay at Gorakhnath Temple on Friday morning, CM Yogi followed his usual routine of worship and service. He began the day by offering prayers to Shivavatar Guru Gorakhnath and then visited the samadhi of his revered guru, Brahmalin Mahant Avedyanath, to pay his respects.
As part of his regular practice, he visited the temple cowshed (gaushala), where he affectionately called the cows by their names — Shyama, Gauri, Ganga, Bhola, among others. Familiar with his voice, many of the cows came running to him. The Chief Minister lovingly caressed them, gently stroked their foreheads, and fed them jaggery with his own hands, displaying his deep bond and compassion for the animals.
“Happy Birthday, Maharaj ji!” say young martial arts students
On Friday morning, a group of young martial arts students, mostly girls, came to meet CM Yogi at the Gorakhnath Temple to wish him a belated happy birthday. The children greeted him with a rose and warm wishes, saying “Happy Birthday, Maharaj ji!” The Chief Minister smiled warmly, offered them his blessings, and gifted them chocolates.
Although CM Yogi does not celebrate his birthday since embracing the path of ‘sanyaas’, people from all walks of life continue to mark the occasion with joy. On Thursday, his 53rd birthday was celebrated across the state through various programmes organized by individuals and social groups.
On Friday, these children also presented a memento and performed a few martial arts steps to express their admiration. CM Yogi lovingly accepted their wishes, interacted with them about their training and studies, and posed for photos with them.
