CM condoles with Imtiyaz Hussain
Srinagar, May 7: Haji Mohammad Sultan Mir, father of senior police officer DIG Imtiyaz Hussain Mir, passed away at the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura on Thursday after a brief illness, family sources said.
Family members said he breathed his last at the hospital earlier in the day.
As the news of his demise spread, senior officers from the police and civil administration, along with colleagues and acquaintances, expressed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
Officials said mourners have been visiting the family residence to offer condolences.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has expressed deep sorrow over the passing away of the father of Police Officer Imtiyaz Hussain Mir.
In his condolence message, the Chief Minister conveyed heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.He also prayed for strength and fortitude for the family to bear this irreparable loss.
The Chief Minister said that the demise of a parent is an immense personal loss that leaves a deep void in the lives of family members and loved ones.He expressed solidarity with the bereaved family during this difficult time of grief.
He further prayed that the departed soul attains the highest place in Jannah.
