From emotions to entertainment, RishtaTV promises to redefine content on OTT

RishtaTV is venturing into the OTT space with the vision to create emotionally resonant stories for the viewers. Founder & CEO of RishtaTV Entertainment, Imraan Shaaikh, promises quality over quantity with content that reflects the everyday life of the audience while keeping the emotional quotient high. As the name suggests, it will make a Rishta (relationship/connection) with the viewers through its new and unique stories.

Imraan said, “For us, connection matters more than conversion. If people love our stories, the business will follow. But first, we need to earn their trust. That’s why we’re focusing on premium content, not just another app on their phone.”

For RishtaTV OTT, the first priority is to deliver good content while making a deep connection with the audience. And to elevate the audience’s experience, they are also promising to stream all of their content free for the first three years.

The team already has over 40 original shows lined up, with stories revolving around human dramas, youth-centric stories, thrillers, docu-fictions, and cross-border narratives.

RishtaTV’s in-house creative studio has worked on creating a few of the shows, while the others are being helmed by independent filmmakers and storytellers from across India. They don’t just want to build a deep connection, but also gives a space for young creators to collaborate and share their vision.

“We want to make stories that feel like they belong to people, not algorithms. Our goal is to give Indian content the same emotional and cinematic quality the world celebrates,” Imraan said.

The next three years they plan on giving impactful and emotion-driven stories. They are here for the long run, and their aim is to build a strong foundation that becomes home for creative storytelling where each viewer is connected through emotions.
