Gen Bipin Rawat Memorial Kashmir Women’s Premier League Concludes in Baramulla – Celebrating Women Empowerment and Sporting Excellence

Baramulla, November 7, 2025: The Gen Bipin Rawat Memorial Kashmir Women’s Premier League (KWPL) 2025 concluded in Baramulla with great enthusiasm, marking the culmination of a vibrant week celebrating women’s cricket, unity, and empowerment in the Valley.
Organised from 29th October to 7th November 2025, the league — dedicated to the memory of India’s first Chief of Defence Staff, Late Gen Bipin Rawat — featured 16 teams, including 08 professional and 08 amateur sides. Jointly supported by the Indian Army, Baramulla Cricket Forum, and District Administration, the event showcased a collective commitment to promoting peace, talent, and inclusion through sports.

In the Professional League, Anantnag Rebels were crowned champions after defeating Game Swingers Baramulla in a thrilling final. Ms. Rubiya of Anantnag Rebels was adjudged Player of the Tournament for her outstanding all-round performance.
In the Amateur League, AGS Uri lifted the trophy, overcoming Govt Girls Higher Secondary School Baramulla, with Ms. Sania Rashid earning the Player of the Tournament title for her stellar contribution.
The final and presentation ceremony were graced by Maj Gen Paranvir Singh Punia, SM, VSM, GOC Dagger Division; Mr. Minga Sherpa, IAS, DC Baramulla; and Mr. Gurinderpal Singh, IPS, SSP Baramulla.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Abdul Khaliq Wani, Chairman, Baramulla Cricket Forum, said:
