GR Beigh Memorial Foundation Hails Grand Mufti’s Vision, Pledges Full Support to Health & Medical Education Cell

Srinagar, August 21: In a significant expression of solidarity with the humanitarian vision of the Muslim Personal Law Board, Jammu & Kashmir, Chairman of the GR Beigh Memorial Foundation, Ishtiaq Beigh, has announced full support to the Board’s newly constituted Health and Medical Education Cell, assuring every possible cooperation in taking its welfare initiatives to the people.

Welcoming the initiative, Ishtiaq Beigh expressed appreciation for the leadership and foresight of Grand Mufti of J&K, Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam Farooqi, and his Advisor Er. Danish Reshi, for conceiving and establishing a dedicated platform focused on health, medical awareness and community welfare.

He said that the formation of the Health and Medical Education Cell reflects a progressive and socially responsible approach, recognising that the role of community institutions extends beyond religious and legal matters to the larger concerns of human dignity, healthcare, education and the welfare of the underprivileged.

“Under the visionary guidance of Grand Mufti Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam Farooqi and the dedicated efforts of his Advisor Er. Danish Reshi, the establishment of this Cell is a timely and much-needed initiative. It has the potential to become an important instrument of service, particularly for the poor, destitute and people living in remote and underserved areas,” Beigh said.

He reiterated that the GR Beigh Memorial Foundation, which has been actively serving communities since 1997, stands ready to work alongside the Board and provide every possible support to the new Cell.

Beigh said the Foundation has conducted numerous medical and health camps in far-flung and border areas of Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and other parts of India, besides undertaking awareness and drug-free campaigns in Punjab, Delhi and other regions.

He emphasised that the Foundation’s experience in grassroots humanitarian work would be placed at the disposal of the Health and Medical Education Cell wherever required.

Expressing gratitude to the Grand Mufti and his Advisor for giving institutional shape to an important social initiative, Beigh said the collaboration could open new avenues for medical outreach, preventive healthcare, health awareness, medical education and assistance to vulnerable sections of society.

He reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the Muslim Personal Law Board J&K in its efforts to translate its vision of service, compassion and community welfare into meaningful action on the ground.
