On behalf of the G. R. Beigh Memorial Foundation, the J&K Government Employees’ Conference, and the Non-Gazetted Employees Welfare Association (NGEWA) SKIMS, we extend our sincere gratitude to the Honourable Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha Ji, and the Chief Minister of J&K, Mr. Omar Abdullah, for their pivotal roles in addressing the long-pending issue of employee stagnation at SKIMS. The recent promotion of nearly 800 SKIMS employees, after more than a decade of waiting, marks a landmark decision that restores both dignity and justice to those who have faithfully served the healthcare sector.
We also express our deep appreciation to the Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir, the Commissioner Secretary of Health and Medical Education, and the Director of SKIMS, Dr. Muhammad Ashraf Ganie, whose unwavering commitment and administrative support made this long-overdue reform a reality. This step is not only an administrative milestone but a powerful message of recognition and respect for the tireless contributions of healthcare workers. We hope this momentum continues and strengthens the spirit of fairness and accountability in public service.
