Mumbai, August 23, sometime in the 1960s was the day Ashok Vaidya who ran a tea stall outside Dadar station, first experimented with putting a batata vada in a pav with garlic chutney. His dish became hugely popular, and the rest as they say is history.
Vada Pav today, is served not just all over India, but also in unexpected places like the Swiss Alps, Paris and Melbourne.
