Horticulture Department Jammu organises Tiranga Rally

JAMMU, AUGUST 14: As a part of ongoing Independence Day Celebrations from 1st to 15th August to commemorate 78th Independence Day, the Department of Horticulture Jammu flagged off a Tiranga rally at Directorate of Horticulture complex.
The rally was flagged off by Director Horticulture Jammu, Chaman Lal Sharma in presence of Chief Horticulture Officer Jammu, Rakesh Kotwal and other staff members, saw enthusiastic participation from officers, officials and other staff members of the department.

Addressing the rally, the Director stressed the importance of national unity and national integration. He also said that such events instill a sense of patriotism, unity and create a sense of belongingness towards the nation.
Further, the Director said that the rally is an embodiment of our collective commitment to nation- building and creates a personal connection with the Tiranga.
The event also witnessed a plantation drive under the theme “Ek Ped Shaheedon Ke Naam” wherein different fruit plants were planted in the Horticulture Museum.
