Sincerity and Purity of Heart Are Indispensable for Unity Among Scholars: Allama Hami
While emerging cognitive sciences and remarkable technological innovations in the modern era have enabled society to benefit from material progress, a considerable section of the younger generation, captivated by the attractions of modernity, is gradually drifting away, to some extent, from the true teachings of Islam and the profound love of the Beloved Prophet Muhammad (Saw). In view of this growing concern, it is incumbent upon the righteous scholars and intellectuals to shoulder their pivotal responsibility with diligence and foresight by providing timely, authentic and proper guidance to the younger generation, thereby nurturing and carrying forward the mission of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Saw) without negligence or compromise.
Keeping these concerns in view, Karwani Islami International remains tirelessly engaged, through all its platforms, in rekindling the flame of love for the Holy Prophet (Saw) among the general public, particularly the youth, and in guiding the younger generation towards a righteous and purposeful future. The organization remains steadfast in its commitment to this mission and pledges to uphold it throughout its existence.
These views were expressed by Allama Dr. Ghulam Rasool Hami, Chief of Karwani Islami International, while addressing a large gathering of devotees and members of the public on the blessed occasion of Friday prayers at the Central Jamia Masjid Qadeem, Zangam, Pattan. Addressing the congregation, Allama Hami stated that it is the foremost responsibility of the scholars of truth to identify and employ effective means of guidance and spiritual enlightenment, particularly during periods of adversity and darkness. He emphasised that since the foundation of divine guidance and the Straight Path lies in love for the Holy Prophet (Saw), kindling the flame of Prophetic love in human hearts must remain the foremost objective of scholars and people of wisdom and insight.
Allama Hami further observed that a community whose successive generations are deeply rooted in love and reverence for the Holy Prophet (Saw) remains protected from worldly and spiritual misguidance, as well as moral and social corruption. Over time, such a community is destined to attain peace, tranquility and genuine progress, both in this world and in the Hereafter. Addressing the issue of unethical rivalries, personal animosities and mutual discord prevailing among religious and social preachers, Allama Hami asserted that those who preach to the community and claim to possess religious knowledge must first and foremost undertake the rectification of their own selves. He urged them to abandon mutual jealousy, malice and narrow-mindedness, and to refrain from humiliating or denigrating any dignified and honorable individual merely to satisfy petty worldly interests.
Allama Hami unequivocally emphasized that the teachings of Islam and the Holy Prophet (Saw) impart the values of faith, truthfulness, recognition of truth and purity of heart. Therefore, scholars and religious preachers must be the first to embody these principles with steadfastness and sincerity. Only then can their conduct positively influence the public and enable people to distinguish between truth and falsehood. Concluding his remarks on the subject, Allama Hami stressed that without sincerity of intention and the courage to uphold the truth, neither unity within the community nor harmony among its religious preachers can be achieved
