IIT Jammu Arise in NIRF Rankings: A Meteoric Rise in Just Two Years

Jammu: The Indian Institute of Technology Jammu (IIT Jammu) has scaled new heights by securing the 62nd position in the prestigious National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) for the engineering category. The announcement, made by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, marks a substantial improvement over the institute’s previous ranking.
This remarkable achievement is a testament to the relentless efforts of the entire IIT Jammu community. IIT Jammu’s dedication to research and smart budgeting has made it one of India’s top 62 engineering institutes.

SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has extended his heartiest congratulations to the Indian institute of Technology Jammu, University of Jammu, University of Kashmir, NIT Srinagar and others for ranking amongst top most Universities and Institutions of the country in the recently released NIRF Ranking.
Prof. Manoj Singh Gaur, Director of IIT Jammu, expressed his immense pride and gratitude for the institute’s accomplishment. He attributed this success to the collective hard work and dedication of the faculty, staff, and students. Prof. Gaur also acknowledged the invaluable support and guidance provided by the BOG Chairman and Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Sh. Manoj Sinha.
Breaking into the top 100 institutes is a significant milestone that opensdoors to numerous opportunities and resources. IIT Jammu is now poised to further excel in academic excellence and research, benefiting from special privileges offered by the government and the University Grants Commission (UGC).
