Under its flagship outreach initiative Operation Sadbhavna, with the aim of promoting healthcare awareness and extending essential medical services to the local population.
The camp was conducted in coordination with the local Primary Health Centre (PHC), with participation from the Army medical team, including the Regimental Medical Officer and nursing assistants, along with the Block Medical Officer, Lady Medical Officer and medical staff from the PHC.
A total of 267 locals availed medical consultations, basic healthcare services and medicines during the camp. Medicines were provided through both Army resources and the Civil Administration.
Transportation was also provided to locals from remote and fringe villages, facilitating their participation and access to healthcare services.
The 24 Rashtriya Rifles played a key role in organising the outreach initiative, ensuring effective coordination with the Civil Administration and local community.
The initiative provided an opportunity to address the immediate healthcare requirements of the local population while fostering greater interaction, trust and goodwill between the Army and the civil community. The joint effort further strengthened Army-Civil coordination and cooperation at the grassroots level.
The medical camp reaffirmed the Indian Army’s commitment towards the welfare of the people and contributed towards strengthening trust, goodwill and harmonious Army-Civil relations in the region.
